          สตีฟ จ็อบส์ ผู้ก่อตั้งร่วม และตำนานแห่งแอ๊ปเปิ้ล ยื่นใบลาออกจากตำแหน่งซีอีโอแล้ว ตามความคาดหมายที่มีมายาวนาน จากอาการป่วยด้วยโรคมะเร็ง

          แอ๊ปเปิ้ล บริษัทขนาดใหญ่อันดับ 2 ของโลก ในด้านมูลค่าทางตลาด แถลงวานนี้ (24 ส.ค.)ว่า นายสตีฟ จ็อบส์ ผู้ก่อตั้งร่วมของบริษัท ได้ยื่นใบลาออกจากตำแหน่งหัวหน้าคณะเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร (ซีอีโอ) แล้ว

          นายทิม คุ๊ก หัวหน้าคณะเจ้าหน้าที่ปฏิบัติการ และการขาย จะขึ้นมาดำรงตำแหน่งแทน โดยนายจ็อบส์ ยังจะดำรงตำแหน่ง ประธานคณะกรรมการบริหารของบริษัทต่อไป

          แม้จะไม่มีการให้เหตุผลถึงการที่นายจ็อบส์ ตัดสินใจลาออก แต่ความเคลื่อนไหวที่เกิดขึ้น เป็นสิ่งที่คาดการณ์กันมานานแล้ว เพราะปัญหาสุขภาพของนายจ็อบส์ ที่ป่วยด้วยโรคมะเร็ง และทำให้เขาต้องลาพักเพื่อรักษาตัวเป็นเวลานาน รวมถึง การผ่าตัดเปลี่ยนตับเมื่อปี 2552 และงดปรากฎตัวต่อที่สาธารณชน

CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 24, 2011-- To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:

I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.

As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.

I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.

I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.
